Recognizes Trooper Chad Nalls of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency as a nominee for the 2018 Alabama Legislative Medal of Honor for Law Enforcement, Alabama's highest law enforcement award for extraordinary courage in the line of duty.

On November 17, 2017, Trooper Nalls responded to a reckless driver call in Chilton County and assisted Officer Blalock of the Jemison Police Department in apprehending Matthew Middleton, a missing and suicidal person from Kentucky who was aiming a handgun at his own head.

Trooper Nalls quickly grabbed the loaded weapon, turned it away from the subject's head and bystanders, secured the subject on the ground with Officer Blalock, and cleared a live round from the chamber without injury to anyone involved.

Directs that Trooper Chad Nalls receive a copy of the resolution as evidence of the Alabama House of Representatives' admiration and esteem for his heroic actions and exceptional commitment to protect and serve Alabama residents.
