Honors Brian Clayton for being named the 2018-2019 Alabama Principal of the Year by the Alabama Association of Secondary School Principals.

Clayton has served as Principal of James Clemens High School in the Madison City School System since 2012, with 24 years total education experience and 19 years in administration.

Clayton holds a Bachelor's Degree, Master of Science Degree in Secondary Education Math, and an Education Doctorate from The University of Alabama.

Clayton currently serves as Vice President of the Alabama Association of Secondary School Principals and will represent Alabama in the National Principal of the Year Program.

The House of Representatives honors Clayton for his contributions to education and his creation of an educational culture of high expectations supporting student college and career success.
