Recognizes Trooper Chad Nalls of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency as a nominee for the 2018 Alabama Legislative Medal of Honor for Law Enforcement.

On November 17, 2017, Trooper Nalls responded to a reckless driver call in Chilton County and assisted Officer Blalock in apprehending a suicidal subject who was pointing a handgun at his own head.

Trooper Nalls quickly grabbed the loaded gun, redirected it away from the subject and bystanders, secured the subject with Officer Blalock, and cleared a live round from the chamber with no injuries to any parties involved.

The House of Representatives honors Trooper Nalls for demonstrating extraordinary courage, diligence, and exceptional heroism in protecting residents and ending an immediate threat to the area.

Directs that Trooper Nalls receive a copy of this resolution as evidence of the legislature's admiration and esteem.
