Nicole Carruth is honored and commended by the Alabama House of Representatives for her athletic accomplishments.

She scored 3,494 points during her high school basketball career at Sulligent High School, was named "Miss Basketball" for Alabama, and led her team to the 3-A State Championship in 1996 with three consecutive Final Four appearances.

At the University of Alabama, she ranked first in career 3-point field goal percentage, played in 110 games, and averaged 6.7 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 1.0 assists.

She currently resides in Sulligent with her husband Shay Taylor and three children, and serves as an assistant coach for the Sulligent High School Lady Blue Devils basketball program.
