Recognizes Brian Clayton as the 2018-2019 Alabama Principal of the Year, awarded by the Alabama Association of Secondary School Principals.

Clayton has served as Principal of James Clemens High School in Madison City School System since 2012, accumulating 24 years of education service with 19 years in administration.

Holds a Bachelor's Degree, Master of Science Degree in Secondary Education Math, and Education Doctorate from The University of Alabama; led James Clemens High School to numerous accolades in education innovation.

Currently serves as Vice President of the Alabama Association of Secondary School Principals and will represent Alabama in the National Principal of the Year Program.

The House of Representatives honors and commends Clayton for his significant contributions to education and his commitment to excellence in the field.
