• Franklin County Cattlemen's Association is commended for being named the largest membership chapter in Alabama during the 2017 membership year with 582 members.

• The association received an outdoor tent and "Beef. It's What's For Dinner" banner as awards for its achievement.

• Franklin County Cattlemen's Association awarded 26 scholarships to deserving seniors in city and county school systems and provides beef to Family and Consumer Science teachers annually.

• Franklin County has over 28,000 beef cows, ranking in the top 15 cattle counties in the state, and the cattle industry represents over $2.5 billion in state revenue.

• The association is led by President Steven Smith, Vice President Caleb Beason, and Secretary/Treasurer Jack Hargett.
