• Crawford is a 1962 Bessemer High School graduate and 1967 Samford University graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy; served in the National Guard from 1968 as a pharmacist with rank of Technical Sergeant and was selected Airman of the Month in May 1974.

• Founded West Blocton Pharmacy and worked to establish West Blocton Health Center; spent over 25 years as a pharmacist at CVS Pharmacy in Centreville, where he obtained a preceptor license to train future pharmacists and was Chief Pharmacist at retirement; received CVS Pharmacy Region 28 Best Overall Triple S Award in 2008.

• Has served as deacon and Sunday school teacher at Woodstock Baptist Church (1973) and currently serves as deacon at Schultz Creek Baptist Church; married to Janet for 53 years with one son, one daughter, and four grandsons.
