Acknowledges Rose's actions on a four-day mission into Laos where he served as sole medic for 16 Green Berets and 120 indigenous troops, keeping wounded soldiers alive while ignoring his own serious wounds and maintaining silence about the mission for over 20 years.

Notes Rose retired from the Army in 1987 and is commended as an epitome of heroism whose sacrifices preserved freedom.
