House Resolution 440 mourns the death of Vernon E. Cramer, who died on March 7, 2018, at age 88.

Cramer was born September 26, 1929, in Huntsville, Alabama, and graduated from Huntsville High School in 1947.

Served two tours of duty in the United States Army, including 10 months in combat with I Corps Field Artillery during the Korean Conflict from January to October 1951, and received multiple military commendations.

Worked for the U.S. Army Missile Command from November 1952 until his retirement in December 1984, and later earned his Real Estate Broker license for 17 years in residential and commercial sales.

The resolution expresses deepest sympathy to his surviving wife of 65 years, Mary Eva Honey Cramer; son Vernon Kent Cramer; daughter Kristi Cramer Martin; and other surviving family members.
