Applies exclusively to Lowndes County and addresses the compensation of the sheriff.

Ratifies and confirms all prior cost-of-living increases, merit raises, one-time pay increases, and other compensation increases granted to the sheriff regardless of whether they were correctly calculated or paid.

Permits prior compensation increases to continue as an expense allowance through the end of the sheriff's current term of office.

Beginning with the next term of office, the expense allowance becomes null and void, with amounts converted to salary.

Becomes effective immediately upon passage and gubernatorial approval.
