SB205 Summary

• Amends Section 41-4-412 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to modify term limits and eligibility for Craft Training Board members.

• Changes board member eligibility from one three-year term maximum to eligibility for reappointment, limited to no more than two consecutive terms.

• Implements staggered term schedule beginning October 16, 2018: two members serve one-year terms expiring October 15, 2019; two members serve two-year terms expiring October 15, 2020; three members serve three-year terms expiring October 15, 2021.

• All board members appointed thereafter shall serve three-year terms, allowing for continued board stability with rolling membership changes.

• Takes effect immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor.
