• Proposes a local constitutional amendment for Morgan County establishing the Sheriff's annual salary at $5,000 less than the chair of the Morgan County Commission, effective beginning the next term of office after ratification.

• Requires all allowances and amounts received by the sheriff for feeding prisoners be deposited in a separate account in the county treasury and used exclusively for feeding prisoners in the county jail.

• Exempts the sheriff from competitive bid law requirements when purchasing food or supplies for feeding county jail prisoners.

• Election on the proposed amendment shall be held in accordance with Sections 284 and 284.01 of the Alabama Constitution and state election laws.

• Election officials shall assign a ballot number and provide voters with a "Yes ( ) No ( )" format to decide on the amendment.
