SB352 Summary

• Increases the amount of liquor that beer manufacturers producing less than 60,000 barrels per year may sell for off-premises consumption from an unstated previous limit to 288 ounces per customer per day.

• Allows liquor manufacturers to sell spirits for off-premises consumption up to two 750-milliliter bottles per customer per day, with an exception for manufacturers that invested at least $10 million within 18 months and produce Alabama's official state spirit, who may sell up to 1.5 liters per customer per day.

• Requires manufacturer licensees to keep and maintain records for three years of all off-premises sales.

• Permits beer and table wine manufacturers to donate up to two kegs of beer or two cases of wine to licensed charitable special events operated by nonprofit organizations, with remaining product returned to the manufacturer for disposal.

• Takes effect January 1, 2019.
