Law enforcement agencies and forensic evidence testing facilities must analyze and test all sexual assault kit evidence within 90 days after receipt of all necessary evidence.

Applies to sexual assault evidence collected in connection with criminal investigations that requires forensic analysis.

Requirement applies to law enforcement agencies, the Department of Forensic Sciences, and any other accredited forensic laboratories.

Compliance is contingent on sufficient staffing and resources being available.

Effective date is the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
