• Extends the lookback period for misdemeanor DUI convictions from 5 years to 10 years when determining enhanced penalties for sentencing.

• Requires courts to consider all prior felony DUI convictions regardless of date when a defendant is convicted of DUI.

• Makes any DUI conviction by a person with a previous felony DUI conviction automatically a Class C felony, rather than waiting for a fourth or subsequent offense.

• Changes the five-year vehicle registration suspension period for repeat DUI offenders to a ten-year period.

• Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
