Recognizes the first full weekend following the first Friday in August each year as "Days of Prayer for Alabama's Students"

Calls upon Alabama citizens to pray, meditate, or otherwise reflect upon students, teachers, administrators, and schools in accordance with their own faith and consciences

Identifies student challenges including peer pressure to use drugs and alcohol, negative media influences, school violence, gang activities, and low self-esteem

Encourages residents to give thanks for students and pray for their protection, guidance, peace, and opportunities for blessings
