• Designates the two new Pea River bridges on Highway 84 in Elba, Alabama as the Marion Bailey Brunson, Sr., Memorial Bridge

• Marion Bailey Brunson, Sr. served as an educator in Coffee County for over 30 years and as Probate Judge for 12 years before his death in June 2007 at age 75

• Brunson was a third-generation family farm owner who converted the operation from cattle farming to silviculture, establishing a Certified Tree Farm and Alabama Treasure Forest

• Brunson was recognized as a local author, genealogist, and historian who contributed to county and regional boards in Southeast Alabama
