Recognizes Senator Quinton T. Ross, Jr. for 15 years of professional excellence and service in the Alabama Senate.

Honors Ross as the first African-American male to serve as Senate Minority Leader and the first Minority Leader elected to a four-year term.

Acknowledges his service on multiple committees including Banking and Insurance, Finance and Taxation, Education, Transportation and Energy, and Military Affairs.

Recognizes his appointment as the 15th President of Alabama State University and his prior work as an educator and administrator.

Commends Ross for receiving numerous awards including the 2003 King Spirit Award, 2009 Power of One Award, 2012 Champion Award, 2016 Beloved Community Award, and 2017 Business Champion Award.
