• Names the portion of State Road 51 between Midway and Clayton in Barbour and Bullock Counties as the Jere L. Beasley Highway.

• Recognizes Jere L. Beasley's establishment of a private law practice in Montgomery, Alabama in 1979 that grew into one of the country's leading civil litigation firms employing over 300 people including over 80 attorneys.

• Honors Beasley's career as a prominent trial lawyer, advocate for civil justice, and service as Lieutenant Governor of Alabama for eight years.

• Directs appropriate officials to place and maintain signs or markers designating the highway as requested in the resolution.
