Mourns the deaths of Mr. Wallace Lamar Brown (age 91) and Mrs. Bobby Jean Brown (age 85) of Inez, Texas, who died on January 9, 2018.

Mrs. Brown was born May 26, 1932, worked as a dental hygienist, and was active in community organizations including the Daughters of the American Revolution, Colonial Dames XVII Century, and Daughters of 1812; appointed KDS DAR School Administrator and Chairman of the Board in 1999.

Mr. Brown was born September 21, 1926, served as an Alabama Guard member and United States Air Force pilot for over 23 years, was captured and imprisoned for over 32 months in China, and earned a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Mr. Brown authored "The Endless Hours" about his experiences as a prisoner of war and was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal and Prisoner of War Medal; the couple was married for 67 years.

The Legislature of Alabama expresses deep sadness at their deaths and offers this resolution in tribute to their lives with heartfelt sympathy to their family.
