Alabama exported products totaling a record-high $21.7 billion to 189 countries in 2017, ranking 22nd nationally in export value.

Two-way trade between Alabama and the world totaled over $45.34 billion during 2017.

Transportation equipment was Alabama's largest export category, increasing from $10.69 billion in 2016 to $10.9 billion in 2017, representing 1.96 percent growth.

Alabama exports include vehicles, transportation equipment, agricultural products, chemicals, minerals, iron, steel, machinery, and paper products sought after by international consumers.

Legislature commends Alabama's trade professionals, trade stakeholders, manufacturing, agriculture, small businesses, and the Port of Mobile for contributing to record export revenues and encourages continued growth in global marketplace sales.
