International Paper Company announced over $500 million in additional investment in its Riverdale Mill in Dallas County, the largest industrial investment in the county in many years.

The company employs over 750 employees at Riverdale Mill and supports numerous indirect jobs in the region through expansion of its industrial packaging business.

The expansion is supported by public-private partnership incentives including abatements of non-educational property and sales and use taxes.

Alabama Senate commends International Paper Company on its investment and urges the company to use the latest technologies to control odor and air quality in the historic Selma and Dallas County area.
