Amends Section 11-46-38 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to align municipal election voter registration requirements with county and state election registration timelines.

Requires individuals to register to vote for municipal elections in conformance with the time frame set forth in Section 17-3-50, rather than the previous 10-day requirement specific to municipal elections.

Allows qualified electors who relocate from one ward to another within the same city or town during the 30-day period before an election to vote in their previous ward if they would have been eligible to vote there.

Voters must cast ballots only in the ward or precinct of their residence where they are registered to vote, with any votes cast elsewhere rejected.

Became effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
