Montgomery County Sheriff receives an annual expense allowance of $20,000, payable in equal monthly installments from the county general fund, in addition to all other compensation or benefits.

The $20,000 expense allowance may be treated as compensation for retirement contributions.

Beginning with the next term of office, the Sheriff's annual salary shall be $155,000 and the $20,000 expense allowance shall become null and void.

Act 2015-263 of the 2015 Regular Session is repealed effective at the start of the next sheriff's term of office.

The act becomes effective on the first day of the first month following passage and approval by the Governor.
