• Extends the supplemental privilege assessment and monthly surcharge on nursing facilities from August 31, 2019 to August 31, 2022.

• Extends the secondary supplemental privilege assessment on nursing facilities from August 31, 2019 to August 31, 2022, effective from October 1, 2015 at an annual rate of $401.28 per bed, payable monthly.

• Maintains the existing monthly surcharge rates: initial surcharge of $131.25 per licensed bed (from May 20, 2012) reduced to $43.75 per month (from September 20, 2012), extending through August 31, 2022.

• Extends the requirement that the Alabama Medicaid Agency continue direct administration of the Medicaid nursing facility program from October 1, 2019 to at least October 1, 2022.

• Requires privilege assessment rates be reduced if total revenues to the state fall to 6 percent or less of total nursing facility revenues in any fiscal year.
