Amends Section 45-5-232 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to exempt active, retired, and honorably discharged military veterans from pistol permit fees in Blount County.

Maintains the $20 pistol permit fee for non-military applicants in Blount County, collected by the sheriff.

Eligible military veterans of the United States Armed Forces or Armed Forces of the State of Alabama who meet conditions under Section 13A-11-75 can obtain pistol permits without paying fees.

Continues existing fee distribution: 80 percent of collected fees deposited into sheriff's account for law enforcement personnel, equipment, and supplies; 20 percent deposited into Blount County General Fund.

Became effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor on May 15, 2019.
