• Amends Section 34-23-131 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to modify pharmacy technician registration reinstatement procedures.

• Removes any time limit for reinstatement of lapsed pharmacy technician registrations without requiring an examination by the State Board of Pharmacy.

• Caps total penalties and late fees owed for reinstatement at five years of accumulated charges, regardless of how long the registration has been lapsed.

• Pharmacy technicians with lapsed registrations exceeding five years may only be reinstated upon satisfactory examination by the board.

• Becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor.
