Amends Section 13A-8-18 of the Alabama Code to expand the definition of receiving stolen property in the second degree to include three categories: stolen property valued between $1,500 and $2,500, stolen property of any value under circumstances described in Section 13A-8-16(b)(3), and stolen firearms, rifles, or shotguns regardless of value.

Classifies receiving stolen property in the second degree as a Class C felony.

Exempts the bill from Amendment 621 requirements because it defines a new crime or amends an existing crime definition.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and gubernatorial approval.
