Proposes a constitutional amendment to Section 46 of the Alabama Constitution to impose a three-term limit on legislators in the Alabama House of Representatives and Senate, effective November 1, 2022.

Allows legislators to serve a maximum of three full terms in each chamber, plus up to two additional years filling a vacancy in that respective house.

Exempts all service prior to November 2020 from counting toward the term limit, allowing current legislators to continue serving without forfeiture of previous service time.

Requires voter approval through a statewide election conducted in accordance with Sections 284 and 285 of the Alabama Constitution.

Specifies that the proposed amendment shall appear on the ballot with the description "Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, to amend Section 46 of the Constitution of Alabama of 1901...to limit a legislator to a maximum of three full terms of office in each respective house, plus up to two years of filling a vacancy in each house."
