• Removes exemptions from Alabama's Military Family Jobs Opportunity Act that previously excluded law practice, attorney regulation, Securities Commission licenses, and professions regulated by the State Board of Pharmacy, Board of Dental Examiners, State Board of Chiropractic Examiners, Liquefied Petroleum Gas Board, and State Board of Medical Examiners.

• Makes military spouses of active duty, reserve, or transitioning service members eligible for automatic professional licenses and certificates in these previously exempted fields if their home state requirements are substantially similar to Alabama's.

• Maintains the exemption only for certifications issued by the Alabama Peace Officers' Standards and Training Commission.

• Requires boards and agencies to process initial license fee waivers for eligible military spouses within 30 days of application.

• Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and gubernatorial approval.
