• Implements a $5 special recording fee charged by the Judge of Probate of Geneva County for each real property instrument, personal property instrument, or other document filed for record, effective upon Geneva County Commission adoption.

• No documents or instruments shall be received for record unless the $5 special recording fee is paid, in addition to all other required fees, taxes, and charges.

• Allocates $2 of each fee to a special fund for preservation, restoration, and operation of the judge of probate's office.

• Deposits remaining fee proceeds and any future increases into the county general fund for general county purposes.

• Allows Geneva County Commission to adjust and increase the fee amount from time to time, with a maximum cap of $10.
