AL HB60

Increases the Contract Review Permanent Legislative Oversight Committee membership from five to seven members.

Expands committee membership to include the Chairs of the Senate Finance and Taxation General Fund and Education Committees and the Chairs of the House Ways and Means General Fund and Education Committees.

Adds three additional members from the Senate (appointed by the President of the Senate) and three additional members from the House (appointed by the Speaker of the House).

Authorizes committee members to continue serving until a successor is appointed if they are reelected to the same house without a break in service, even after their original appointment term expires.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
