• Names the bridge over Perch Creek in Mobile County the Ralph "Sonny" Middleton Memorial Bridge in honor of his dedication and service to the Gulf Coast region of Alabama.

• Recognizes Middleton's over six decades of service in the marine industry through family businesses including Middleton Marine Engine Service, Dog River Marina, A and M Yacht Sales, Dog River Fuels and Supply, and Middleton Marine.

• Acknowledges Middleton's professional accolades including Dog River Marina being named Marina of the Year in 2000, receiving Alabama's first Clean Marina designation, the 2012 Rybovich Lifetime Achievement Conservation Award, and 2017 induction as a Gulf Legend by the Blue Marlin Grand Championship Billfish Tournament.
