• Creates a nine-member Task Force on Veterans' Suicide to investigate causes of and prevention strategies for suicides among returning Alabama veterans.

• Task force composition includes representatives from the Department of Veterans' Affairs (chair), Department of Mental Health, Department of Public Health, Department of Human Resources, plus four legislative appointees (Speaker, House Minority Leader, Senate President, Senate Minority Leader) and one gubernatorial appointee.

• Members serve without compensation except travel reimbursement paid by appointing authorities according to state law and policies.

• Task force must present findings and legislative recommendations to the Alabama Legislature within two years of enactment.
