Honors Dr. Rebecca O. Turner for 38 years of service to Jacksonville State University as a faculty member, department head, and administrator.

Recognizes her 17-year tenure as Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs and her guidance to the Office of Student Affairs.

Acknowledges her academic credentials including a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Montevallo University, Master of Social Work from University of Alabama, and Doctor of Social Work from University of Alabama.

Recognizes her service on more than 50 university committees, including roles as SACSCOC liaison, Chair of University Council, and Chair of University Deans Council.

Directs that a copy of the resolution be provided to Dr. Turner as evidence of the admiration and esteem of Alabama citizens.
