• Creates the Birmingham Anti-Violence Task Force to study violent criminal activity in Birmingham, Alabama and recommend strategies to reduce crime.

• Task force consists of 14 members including two state House members from Birmingham, one state Senate member from Birmingham, the Birmingham Mayor and Police Chief, educators, judges, district attorney, business and community leaders, appointed by various officials.

• Mayor of Birmingham sets the first meeting date; task force elects a chair and vice chair by majority vote and meets as specified by the chair or upon vote of eight or more members.

• Members serve without compensation but may be reimbursed for actual meeting expenses by their appointing agencies.

• Task force must submit a written report with findings and crime reduction recommendations to state and local officials by January 10, 2021, after which the task force dissolves.
