Commends Ecumenical Ministries, Inc. (EMI), a faith-based nonprofit organization in Baldwin County, Alabama, founded in 1970, on its 50 years of service in 2020.

EMI helped more than 96,000 individuals facing emergencies by providing more than 1 million meals through its pantries.

EMI's Meals on Wheels program delivered more than 500,000 low-cost meals to elderly, shut-in, and handicapped individuals.

EMI volunteers and staff repaired more than 480 low-income houses in the last five years, provided more than 25,000 Christmas gifts to low-income children, initiated paving of 350 miles of rural roads, and organized racial reconciliation opportunities for thousands of individuals.

Legislature expresses sincere appreciation for EMI's tens of thousands of hours of diligent work and extends esteem and admiration to its volunteers, staff, and donors.
