Commends Water Tender 2nd Class Edgar David Gross for his 16 years of military service in the US Naval Reserve aboard the USS Oklahoma BB-37.

Recognizes Gross was killed during the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, along with 429 other sailors and Marines on the Oklahoma.

Notes that Gross's remains were recovered between December 1941 and June 1944 but remained unidentified until 2018, when forensic analysis and DNA submitted by family members in 2011 allowed positive identification.

Honors Gross with a full military funeral scheduled for Memorial Day, May 27, 2019, at Cherry Grove Baptist Church in Athens, Alabama, followed by burial at Evans Cemetery.

House adopted the resolution on March 21, 2019; Senate adopted it on April 3, 2019.
