Congratulates Doris Jemison-Johnson on her 90th birthday, celebrating her life of achievement and service.

Doris Jemison-Johnson was born on August 4, 1929, in Sprott, Alabama, as the second of nine children to A.C. and Mamie Jemison; moved to Selma in 1931 and graduated from Knox Academy in 1949.

Married J.C. Johnson on Christmas Day 1953 and became the mother of seven children.

Owned and operated East End Cafe for many years; held employment at retail stores in Selma Mall, Social Security Office, and Juvenile Detention Center; served as a community volunteer and member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Adopted by the House on April 4, 2019, and adopted by the Senate on April 9, 2019.
