Honors Caroline B. Novak, President and Cofounder of A-Plus Education Partnership, upon her retirement for her remarkable career achievements in education.

Novak led development of the Artworks interactive wing at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts and co-founded A-Plus Education Partnership in 1991 with Bill Smith and the Charter Class of Leadership Alabama.

A-Plus Education Partnership is nationally recognized for improvements in Alabama public education, including the Alabama Reading Initiative which improved 4th Grade reading scores, particularly for minorities.

Novak established The Alabama Best Practices Center and A-Plus College Ready, which led the nation in Advanced Placement Math, Science, and English course improvements, and launched the Alabama School Readiness Alliance and Alabama GRIT coalitions.

Legislature of Alabama commends Novak for her service and commitment to the State of Alabama; resolution was adopted by the House on April 4, 2019 and the Senate on April 9, 2019.
