• Omega Psi Phi Fraternity was founded on November 17, 1911, at Howard University in Washington, D.C., and currently has more than 750 chapters across the United States and worldwide.

• Six Alabama chapters serve as host chapters for the 2019 Omega Day at the State House: Omega Iota Iota Graduate Chapter, Sigma Phi Graduate Chapter, Alpha Phi Graduate Chapter of Birmingham, Beta Mu Nu Graduate Chapter of Calera, Gamma Sigma Undergraduate Chapter of Montgomery, and Rho Delta Delta Undergraduate Chapter of Troy.

• The fraternity is recognized for playing a progressive, cooperative, and constructive role in civic and political life for more than 100 years.

• Directs that a copy of the resolution be presented to Brother Christopher Brooks, State Representative of the organization.
