Honors Dr. Rebecca O. Turner for 38 years of service to Jacksonville State University as a faculty member, department head, and administrator.

Recognizes her 17-year tenure as Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs and her guidance to the Office of Student Affairs.

Acknowledges her academic credentials including a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Montevallo University, Master of Social Work from the University of Alabama, and Doctor of Social Work from the University of Alabama.

Commends her service on more than 50 university committees and leadership roles including Chair of the University Council and University Deans Council, Strategic Planning Committee, and University Budget Committee.

Directs that a copy of this resolution be provided to Dr. Turner as evidence of the admiration and esteem of the citizens of Alabama.
