Young Heroes of Alabama Scholarship Program recognizes students in grades 9-12 who excel academically, provide public service, overcome adversity, and inspire others through character.

Justin is a student at Winfield City High School who overcame early hardship involving family drug abuse and was placed in the care of Free Will Baptist Children's Home.

Active in his church with mission trips to Chicago and St. Croix, Virgin Islands; received second-place awards in SkillsUSA competitions in 2016 and 2017.

House of Representatives honors Justin Skelton and expresses best wishes for his continued success, with his goal of becoming the first in his family to attend college.
