Commends Mr. Blake Nelson, a history teacher at Albertville High School, on his selection as the 2019 VFW Teacher of the Year.

Mr. Nelson won the award at the Veterans of Foreign Wars annual awards banquet in Boaz, Alabama on May 2, 2019, winning at both the district and state levels.

The Boaz VFW has now been home to state VFW Teacher of the Year winners for two consecutive years following Mr. Nelson's award.

Recognizes Mr. Nelson for his outstanding service, leadership, and contributions to education in the City of Boaz and the State of Alabama.

Directs that a copy of the resolution be provided to Mr. Nelson as tribute and esteem for his educational achievements.
