Commends Ecumenical Ministries, Inc. (EMI) in Baldwin County, Alabama, a faith-based nonprofit organization founded in 1970, on its 50-year anniversary in 2020.

EMI has provided more than 1 million meals through its pantries and delivered more than 500,000 low-cost meals through its Meals on Wheels program to elderly, shut-ins, and handicapped individuals.

EMI has repaired more than 480 low-income, owner-occupied houses in the last five years, provided more than 25,000 Christmas gifts to low-income children, and initiated paving of 350 miles of roads in rural communities.

Expresses the Alabama House of Representatives' sincere appreciation for EMI's tens of thousands of hours of diligent and cooperative work involving volunteers, organizations, and churches across Baldwin County.

Extends highest esteem and admiration to EMI's volunteers, staff, and donors for demonstrating how communities can improve when citizens of all denominations, races, economic status, and political backgrounds work together on common problems.
