Mountain Brook High School boys basketball team won the Class 7A Alabama State Championship title, becoming the first AHSAA team to win three consecutive boys titles in the state's largest classification.

The team defeated Baker 61-42 in the championship game, making them the first team to achieve a "3peat" in the highest class since 1950.

Forward Trendon Watford, a McDonald's All-American, earned state tournament MVP honors with 22 points, 11 rebounds, 4 blocks, and 12 of 13 free throws in the championship game.

Head Coach Bucky McMillan earned his 300th head coaching victory in the semifinals and now has 301 total victories.

The House of Representatives honors and commends the 15-member team and coaching staff for their third Class 7A Alabama State Basketball Championship Title.
