Commends Water Tender 2nd Class Edgar David Gross for his 16 years of naval service aboard the USS Oklahoma BB-37.

Recognizes that Gross was killed in action during the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, as one of 429 sailors and Marines who died on the Oklahoma.

Notes that Gross's remains were recovered between December 9, 1941, and June 27, 1944, and buried as unknown in Hawaiian cemeteries until identified through DNA analysis in 2018.

Honors the identification of Gross's remains by the POW/MIA Accounting Command and family members Stephen W. Gross, Carolyn C. Warren, and Emily C. McDonald.

Recognizes that a full military funeral will be held on Memorial Day, May 27, 2019, at Cherry Grove Baptist Church in Athens, Alabama, followed by burial in Evans Cemetery.
