Commends Justin Skelton for being recognized as one of Alabama Public Television's five Young Heroes of Alabama for 2019.

Young Heroes of Alabama Scholarship Program recognizes students in grades 9-12 who excel academically, engage in public service, overcome adversity, and inspire others.

Justin is an outstanding student at Winfield High School who overcame early family difficulties involving drug abuse and was placed in the care of the Free Will Baptist Children's Home.

Justin is active in his church, has made mission trips to Chicago and St. Croix, and won second-place awards in SkillsUSA competitions in 2016 and 2017.

The House of Representatives honors Justin Skelton and recognizes his phenomenal accomplishments with sincere best wishes for his continued success, including his goal to be the first in his family to attend college.
