• Upgrades tampering with, hacking, or misusing an electronic voting machine from a Class A misdemeanor to a Class B felony.

• Creates Class A misdemeanor offenses for voter fraud involving absentee ballots, including voting more than once, voting on behalf of another, falsifying applications, and voting both absentee and regular ballots.

• Establishes Class C felony offenses for electoral fraud, including attempting to influence another's absentee vote through payment or favors, aiding absentee ballot violations, and compensating individuals based on number of ballots assisted.

• Authorizes the Attorney General to provide investigating assistance upon request by local district attorneys or the Secretary of State for alleged absentee ballot and voting violations.

• Takes effect on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
