Amends Section 6-2-8 of the Alabama Code to extend the statute of limitations for civil actions arising from sex offenses as defined in Section 15-20A-5.

Provides that persons below age 19 or legally insane who are victims of sex offenses shall have six years after the termination of the disability to commence a civil action.

Maintains existing provisions that no disability extends the limitation period beyond 20 years from when the claim accrued.

Preserves the rule that when both disabilities coexist at the time a claim accrues, the limitation does not attach until both are removed.

Takes effect on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
